Pre-Employment Strength Testing

Many companies and organizations face the potential of hiring employees who are not physically capable of performing the requirements of a particular job.  Employers feel helpless when a recently-hired employee states they are injured after aggravating a pre-existing condition.  Pre-employment strength testing is proven to substantially reduce the cost of Workers’ Compensation claims by matching the physical capabilities of a job applicant with the physical demands of the job.

Important topics to be discussed at this workshop include:

  • Type of pre-employment and post-offer testing currently available
  • Applicable employment laws that apply to pre and post testing
  • Who and what jobs should be tested
  • Principles of isokinetics and the testing process
  • The value of isokinetics in post-injury testing
  • Steps required to successfully implement a pre-employment strength testing program
  • Success stories
  • Return on Investment Analysis

At this workshop you will be able to participate in an actual demonstration of the strength testing process on an isokinetic machine.  The test takes approximately 15 minutes and the machine will not allow individuals to push themselves harder than their bodies will allow, eliminating the possibility of over-exertion and injury.
